Who We Are

Keystone Network is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in California (Tax ID 33-3093334). Our mission is to ensure that all students—regardless of wealth or connections—have access to the mentorship, guidance, and resources they need to succeed in higher education and meaningful careers.

Our website is hosted by WP Engine, and managed by our web administrator, Silvermine Creative.

Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to operate our website, process donations, and improve your experience. This may include:

  • Personal details (name, email address, billing address) you provide when donating or contacting us
  • Payment information collected securely by Stripe, our payment processor
  • Technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected via Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console
  • Security data collected through Google reCAPTCHA to protect against spam and fraud

We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors under 13 years of age.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Process and acknowledge your donation
  • Provide donation receipts or required documentation
  • Maintain secure operation of our website
  • Understand how visitors use our site and improve our content
  • Communicate with you when you have opted in to receive updates

We will never sell your personal information, and we share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate our website and process payments securely.

Who We Share Data With

We share limited data only with:

  • Stripe, for secure payment processing
  • WP Engine, for website hosting and performance
  • Google, for analytics, search, and security (via GA4, Search Console, and reCAPTCHA)
  • Authorized contractors, such as Silvermine Creative, who maintain our website under strict confidentiality

These partners process information on our behalf under secure, privacy-compliant frameworks.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be attached to communications related to your request.

Email Opt-In and Communications

You may choose to share your email address to receive updates from Keystone Network.

  • We only send communications to those who have opted in.
  • You may unsubscribe at any time by following the link in any email or by contacting us directly.
  • We do not use your email for marketing without consent.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies to help analyze traffic and improve your experience.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but certain features of the site may not function properly without them.

  • If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
  • If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
  • When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Embedded content from other websites

Pages on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, podcast episodes, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

How long we retain your data

All payment data is transmitted securely using SSL encryption and processed directly by Stripe. We do not store your full credit-card details on our servers.

WP Engine provides industry-standard website security, backups, and monitoring.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

You have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal information
  • Withdraw consent for communications at any time
  • Request details about how your data is stored or shared

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

To exercise these rights, contact us at info@keystonenetwork.org.

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect new features or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date at the top will indicate when changes were made.
